This is a military museum located in Kumasi. It is also known as Kumasi Fort and was established in 1953. A brief history concerning this fort is had seen at least three wars against Europeans. Initially, the site was the location of Aban palace but was destroyed in the third Anglo – Ashanti war and the British built a fort out of the remains in 1896. That same year, there was a rebelion and the fort destroyed again. It was rebuilt in 1897.
