A beautiful village nestled in the mountains. The view from the mountain top is amazing. It’s cool and beautiful. The town is so clean and neat. Everyone needs to experience it. Originally known as Mount Gayito, visitors to the attraction preferred to refer to it by the initials of the German Evangelical Missions Institute (GEMI) inscribed on a metal cross the missionaries built on the peak in 1939 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of their arrival in the Amedzofe area.

Mount Gemi (760m/2 493ft a.s.l.) is a mountain in Ghana. The prominence is 50m/164ft. There’s a trail leading to the summit. Amedzofe is a place full of history. The role Amedzofe played during tge Ashanti wars to the German possession of the place which atually gave birth to the construction of Amedzofe Teacher Training College in the year 1880s. Much of this history still live through stories and are alive today. One is encouraged to climb up the impressive Mount Gemi.
